Location, tickets and hours
Longsha Zoo is at No. 1 Nianbei Highway in Jianhua District. It is a separately ticketed zoo, not the free Longsha Park in the city center. The reference adult ticket price is CNY 98, with online discounted tickets around CNY 93. Reference concessions are free admission for children under 1.2 meters, and about CNY 49 for children 1.2–1.5 meters tall and visitors aged 70 or older. Check height, age and document requirements before buying.
Reference peak-season hours are 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. from April through October, with last entry at 4:00 p.m. In the off-season, November through March, hours are 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with last entry at 3:00 p.m. Real-name booking and document verification are usually required. International visitors should confirm in advance how to book and enter with a passport or other accepted document. Check the day’s rules for opening hours, last entry and booking.
How much time to allow
Allow about 2–3 hours for the main animal areas and one show. A full visit with animal encounters, performances and time for children to use the play area takes about 4–5 hours. Shade is limited, so the weather affects how comfortable it is to walk around in summer.

African Tribe and animal viewing
The African Tribe area is a place to look for giraffes, and the Happy Bird Garden has flamingos and other birds. Which animals are visible outdoors depends on the day’s animal-care and weather arrangements. Some encounters may cost extra, with a reference price of about CNY 10–20. Check the activity details on site, and do not feed the animals with food you have brought.
Lion Mountain, Five Tigers Den and sea-lion shows
Lion Mountain and Five Tigers Den are animal areas along the main route. If a sea-lion show is scheduled at the Castle Performance Stage, you can include it in your visit. Areas, showtimes and entry arrangements may change; check the day’s schedule before deciding how long to stay at each stop.
Parade and children’s play area
Families often visit the parade and children’s facilities, including a carousel, slides and a sandpit. Check which facilities are open and whether fees apply. There are long walks between areas; if visiting with young children, take breaks, keep them close and choose a route that suits their stamina.
Build your day
Short visit: main animal areas and one activity
After entering, pick up a park map and follow this order: Dezhou Farm → African Tribe → Lion Mountain → Five Tigers Den → Castle Performance Stage → Happy Bird Garden. Stop at the Castle Performance Stage according to the day’s schedule, then continue to the Happy Bird Garden. Allow about 2–3 hours. At the end, walk back or use a sightseeing vehicle if one is operating.
Full visit: clockwise route
For a visit of about 4–5 hours, first ask where mobility vehicles can be rented and returned, then follow a clockwise route through the animal areas. Fit the sea-lion show, parade and any animal encounters into the route according to that day’s schedule. Have a simple lunch in the zoo and leave time in the afternoon for the children’s play area. Check on-site prices for vehicle rental, encounters and food.
Showtimes and waiting
Reference sea-lion showtimes are 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.; the parade is listed at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Check the day’s notice when you arrive and plan your route around it. Schedules may change, and popular venues can have queues on public holidays. Keep pathways clear while waiting and watch children in your group.

Getting from the city and parking
Take a taxi from the city to the entrance at No. 1 Nianbei Highway, or drive and follow navigation to “Longsha Zoo” and the parking signs. Parking is about CNY 5 per visit as a reference. Check availability, current fees and parking-lot arrangements on the day.
Getting around the zoo
There are long walking stretches between animal areas. If you are with children or prefer to limit walking, ask at the entrance whether mobility vehicles or sightseeing vehicles are operating and how to rent them. No clear city-bus connection is available, so plan to travel by car or taxi.
Know before you go
Seasons, booking and changing schedules
In winter, some animals may move indoors and some play facilities may close. More areas are usually open in warmer weather, but outdoor shade is limited; use sun protection and take breaks in summer. Shows, animal encounters and indoor exhibits may change because of weather or operating arrangements, so check the day’s notices after entering.
Animal areas, queues and food
Do not bang on enclosures, chase animals or feed them with food you have brought. Follow staff instructions during animal encounters. Show areas may have queues on public holidays. Simple meals are available inside the zoo, but menus and opening hours are not fixed; check on site, and plan water and rest breaks for children.
