Location and village access
Likeng is in Likeng Village, Qiukou Town, Wuyuan County. By car, navigate to “Likeng Scenic Area Visitor Center.” The Visitor Center is not next to the historic village core, so after admission you still walk about 15–20 minutes; visitors travelling with older adults or luggage can ask on site about the paid sightseeing shuttle.
From Wuyuan Railway Station, a taxi takes about 20 minutes and costs roughly CNY 30–40; a tourist shuttle may also be available. Parking costs about CNY 5–20 per day. Include parking, the walk and ticketing in the time needed to reach the village.
Ticket and visit length
The single-entry ticket is CNY 55 and current opening hours are about 08:00–17:30. Booking online in advance is recommended. The Wuyuan tourist pass may also be useful; check its current coverage, dates and admission rules before buying.
Allow about 1.5 hours for the stream, old bridges and a few representative buildings. About 3 hours is more suitable if you want to study the woodcarving, visit the former residence and teahouse, and photograph morning or late-afternoon light.

Streams, bridges and the village entrance
Likeng is built around a stream running through the village, with Huizhou-style buildings along the banks. More than 30 old bridges cross the water; Tongji Bridge is one of the larger examples, and the bridge or the window of the streamside teahouse can frame a small bridge, flowing water and houses together.
Dafu Di (大夫第) and Wuzhuangyuan Fu (武状元府)
Dafu Di is a good stop for carved-wood details, with hanging oil-paper umbrellas forming a striking indoor background. The moss wall at Tonglü Fang is worth a pause for its weathered texture. Li Zhicheng's former residence, also known as Wuzhuangyuan Fu (武状元府), is the residence associated with a martial zhuangyuan and suits visitors interested in local figures and traditional house layouts.
Gushan Pavilion and a slower village walk
Gushan Pavilion sits on the small hill behind the village and looks back over the rooftops; morning visits may bring mist. Likeng suits visitors who enjoy architecture, local-history photography or a slow walk beside the stream and want to include it in Wuyuan's eastern route. Shops and tour groups are common, so a completely quiet village experience is unlikely.

Build your day
1.5-hour short route
From the village entrance, follow the stream inward to Tongji Bridge, Dafu Di and Shenming Pavilion, then climb to Gushan Pavilion for the village view before returning the same way. The 15–20-minute walk from the Visitor Center to the village is outside this estimate, so include it separately. This route suits a focused visit to the main sights.
To reduce group crowds, enter soon after opening; visitor numbers may also ease towards closing, but arrange the return and exit around the closing time. If a large group arrives, walk to the inner sights first and photograph the entrance section on the way back rather than waiting at the bridge.
3-hour slow route
Follow the short-route order through Tongji Bridge, Dafu Di, Shenming Pavilion and Gushan Pavilion. Then return to the lanes to study the woodcarving and Tonglü Fang's wall, before continuing to Li Zhicheng's former residence and the streamside teahouse. Adjust the teahouse stop and photography time around the crowd; the full visit takes about 3 hours.
When leaving, follow the signs back towards the village entrance and Visitor Center. If you use the sightseeing shuttle, confirm its stop and one-way direction first; it is a paid transfer option and does not remove the walk between the Visitor Center and the village core.
Get there
Railway station and driving
From Wuyuan Railway Station, take a taxi for about 20 minutes. A taxi costs about CNY 30–40, or look for the tourist shuttle. By car, use the full navigation target “Likeng Scenic Area Visitor Center”; entering only the village name may send the vehicle away from the actual entrance.
Parking costs about CNY 5–20 per day, and there is still a walking section from the Visitor Center to the village core. After arrival, check the parking exit and walking direction. Whether to buy the sightseeing shuttle depends on its current fee and the walking ability of your group.
Know before you go
Shops, crowds and walking
The village lanes are narrow. During tour-group peaks, the bridge, streamside and shop fronts become crowded; morning or late afternoon is better for photos and a slower walk. There are steps, stone paving and paths along the water, so shoes with good grip are more useful than formal footwear.
The 15–20-minute walk between the Visitor Center and the village core is part of the real itinerary. Families with children, older adults or anyone who does not want a long walk should ask about the sightseeing shuttle's availability and fee. The shuttle cost is separate from the default admission price.
Food and nearby planning
The streamside teahouse is a possible short break inside the village. For a full meal, look for Wangjinglou outside the scenic area; Likeng pork and chestnut-braised chicken are possible dishes. Restaurant hours and waiting times vary, so decide after arrival whether to eat inside or outside.
Likeng can be combined with other attractions on Wuyuan's eastern route, but each attraction has its own entrance, ticket and route. If you use the Wuyuan pass, confirm its current coverage and reservation rules before fixing the day's order.
