Plan at a glance

Theatre location and format

Meet Wuyuan is staged in a separate theatre inside Wunvzhou Resort. When buying a ticket, first confirm the theatre entrance and that day's admission requirements. The production is a visual show built around water screens, lighting, fountains and stage machinery, and suits visitors who want to spend the evening watching from theatre seats.

Admission checks currently begin at about 19:30, with the performance running from about 20:00 to 20:45. The start time may change, so include resort entry, ticket collection or verification, finding your seat and the walk to the theatre in the evening plan.

Separate ticket and timing

The separate ticket is about CNY 120–140; common booking channels include the Wunvzhou mini program, Ctrip and Meituan. A Wunvzhou admission ticket and its free public performances are not the Meet Wuyuan theatre ticket; you need the corresponding performance ticket to watch this show.

If you are seeing only the performance, about 2 hours covers the walk in, the show and the exit. If you also want night photos of Baoyu Pagoda and Wuxian Lake, visit the lake area earlier and leave the pre-show period for getting to the theatre.

Choose your visit

What to watch for visually

The main visual elements are water screens, lighting, fountains and a stage that extends across land and water. Some sections use devices such as rising buildings. The show is a better fit for viewers who care about live images, stage scale and changing light effects.

Story and audience fit

The story is based on the legend of Wunv Feitian. Audience reactions to the plot vary. If immersive visual effects are the priority, the show can be one part of an evening at Wunvzhou; visitors who require detailed storytelling should read the preview and ticket information before deciding.

Effects and viewing conditions

The production includes water screens, bright lights, fireworks and loud special-effects sound. Visitors aged 65 or over, children under 10 and pregnant visitors should be accompanied; anyone with heart disease, high blood pressure or similar conditions should review the day's health and companion requirements before booking. Arrive at least 30 minutes before the show for admission checks.

Build your day

2–3 hours before the show

Enter through Wunvzhou's North Gate at about 18:30, and start with night photography around Baoyu Pagoda Square and Wuxian Lake. Then use the day's programme to decide whether to watch the fire-pot or iron-flower show. On weekends and holidays, popular outdoor performances require time for holding a viewing position and moving with the crowd.

Return to the theatre area before the show to complete ticket verification, find your seat and enter. Leave time between an outdoor programme and the performance, since rain, fog, wind or a schedule change can alter the order of the evening.

Finish around the lake after the show

After the performance, walk along Wuxian Lake towards Baoyu Pagoda or the bridge by Caishen Temple to photograph the lights and reflections. Whether fireworks are held, and the viewing area and timing, follow the day's programme; after the crowd leaves, check the on-site route before moving on.

If you bought only the theatre ticket, leave directly by the signs after the show. If you plan to join another activity, confirm the last shuttle, the direction to the parking area and the resort's closing arrangement for the night.

Get there

Wuyuan Railway Station and parking

The ride from Wuyuan Railway Station to Wunvzhou takes about 10 minutes. After taking a taxi, use the resort Visitor Center or the theatre signs as the final reference point. By car, navigate to Wunvzhou Resort and use Parking Lot 3; cross the footbridge to the Visitor Center after parking.

The theatre is inside the resort. After admission, follow the day's signs to the separate performance venue. Walking time between the parking area, Visitor Center and theatre depends on the evening crowd, so do not leave the lake area until the last moment before the show.

Know before you go

Weather, equipment and viewing safety

The water-screen, fountain and outdoor transition elements are weather-sensitive, so the show may be adjusted. Stage machinery, props and programme order can also change at short notice. If you carry a camera or wear light-coloured clothing, include the risk of water spray near the first three rows in your seat choice.

Inside the theatre, stay out of passageways and behind safety lines when taking photos. Visitors sensitive to bright light should avoid seats that may receive direct exposure. Follow the theatre's on-site rules for photography, admission and equipment.

Food after the show

You can have a light meal inside Wunvzhou before or after the show. For a full meal, Huzi Private Kitchen is about a 5-minute walk away, Nongjia Xiaoyuan is about an 8-minute drive, and Sisanjian is about a 9-minute drive; confirm opening hours before setting out.

The Meet Wuyuan theatre ticket, Wunvzhou admission ticket and Wunvzhou's free outdoor performances are separate arrangements. Confirm the ticket type when buying, then confirm the start time and transport after the show when planning the evening.
