Jilin Longwan Group National Forest Park is in Huinan County and covers about 8,102 hectares. Its management information describes seven volcanic crater lakes, Diao Shuihu Waterfall and two mountain-top scenic areas. Sanjiao Longwan (Triangle Longwan) is a common focus for visits; Dalongwan and Diao Shuihu are in separate areas and require separate transport planning.

See the volcanic shoreline at Sanjiao Longwan
Sanjiao Longwan has a triangular lake, with viewpoints such as Yingxia Wall, Sanjian Peak and Bailong Spring along the shore and an island in the middle. Jilin forestry information describes both boat trips and walking on the boardwalk; an official update dated 8 October 2026 also records visitors taking a boat on the lake. Check the day's boat schedule, route and price on site.
Walk beside the lake at Dalongwan
Dalongwan is the largest crater lake in the park. Huinan tourism information describes its broad water surface, surrounding forest and wetlands; Jilin forestry information also mentions Luhua Island and a lakeside boardwalk. You can take a slow walk along the shore. Check on-site information for any activities on the water.
Follow the canyon to Diao Shuihu's waterfalls
Diao Shuihu is known for stepped waterfalls, Xiangshui River and a canyon boardwalk. Jilin forestry information describes one large and one small waterfall. Water flow changes with the weather, and the path can be slippery after rain; follow the signs. Confirm trail length and accessible routes for the areas open that day.
Add Sifangding as a separate mountain outing
Sifangding is another mountain-top area in the Longwan group, listed at about 1,233 metres above sea level by Jilin forestry information. It is in a different area from Sanjiao Longwan and Diao Shuihu. Before adding it, confirm access, road conditions and how much time to allow.

Use Huinan's suggested order
The official reference route runs Huinan County town → Sanjiao Longwan → Dalongwan → Diao Shuihu. Drive or transfer between the three stops. Check transport schedules and opening arrangements at each stop before setting the day's visit and return time.
Recheck the inter-area shuttle
A Jilin forestry article from July 2025 records a two-way circular shuttle running Sanjiao Longwan → Diao Shuihu → Dalongwan, with departures from 09:00 to 14:00 at about one-hour intervals at that time. This is separate from the direct bus from the county town. Confirm current service, fares and the final departure before travelling.

Check the direct bus stop in Huinan town
A Jilin forestry transport notice from 2025 lists the west-side parking lot at Huinan People's Park as the direct bus departure point and gives a 07:00 departure. A Huinan tourism itinerary from the same year also starts in the county town. Service may change by season; confirm whether it is running, whether booking is required and when the last return bus leaves.
Navigate separately to each scenic area
Sanjiao Longwan, Dalongwan and Diao Shuihu are in different areas. Search for each scenic area's name separately and confirm its entrance, parking and road conditions for the day.

Confirm tickets and entry times
Check the day's notice for standard admission, discounts, reservations, combined-area tickets and boat fares. The 80-yuan ticket in the research notes has no current confirmation. Ask whether each scenic area sells tickets separately.
October operations change with the season
The Longwan group adjusts operations by season: the coordinated opening for 2025 was on 25 April, while Sanjiao Longwan and Dalongwan ended tourism services on 21 October 2024. An official update from 8 October 2026 records boat activity at Sanjiao Longwan. Confirm that day's arrangements separately for each area and for boat trips.
Check construction updates at Dalongwan
A Jilin public procurement notice lists an environmental improvement project at the Dalongwan central management station, scheduled through 30 October 2026. Work includes roads, drainage, riverbank protection and landscaping. Confirm the work area and visitor access before going during this period.
