Plan at a glance
A mountain park of peaks, forest paths and valleys
The park covers about 6,867 hectares and contains 26 major peaks, 17 of them above 1,000 metres. The five peaks named Tiannü, Yünü, Shennü, Chunnü and Xiunü gave Wunvfeng (“Five Women Peaks”) its name. The park directory lists 14 scenic areas and 56 individual sights. Confirm which sections and trails are open before setting out.
Pick the kind of scenery you want
For unusual rocks and narrow fissures, look for Dongtian Haoyue and One-Line Sky. For streams and waterfalls, check Yougu Yinpu and the Grand Canyon. If you want a high viewpoint, ask whether Xianren Terrace (仙人台) and Guan Feng Terrace (观峰台) are open. Plan the day's route around the places currently accessible.

Follow forest paths to streams and rock formations
A summer 2026 account of the park describes mountain paths past shaded woodland, clear streams and unusual rocks, with forest views from higher ground. In wet or windy weather, check whether the paths are open before starting. On uphill sections, follow the marked route and on-site instructions.
Look for the rock formations at Dongtian Haoyue
A local gazetteer lists One-Line Sky, Hanging Buddha in the Air and Dengtianya among the named landforms at Dongtian Haoyue. A provincial tourism itinerary also includes One-Line Sky. Use barriers and follow opening notices around narrow rock gaps and exposed cliff sections.
See streams, waterfalls and a spring
The park's water features include Yougu Yinpu, the Grand Canyon and Meirong Spring, with streams, woodland and waterfalls in the canyon. Rainfall affects water levels and trail conditions. Follow on-site guidance when walking beside the stream.
Autumn colour depends on the year's weather
The provincial itinerary gives May to October as a reference season, and forestry information mentions autumn maple leaves. The timing of fall colour varies with the weather. If you are travelling specifically for foliage, check recent notices from the park or Ji'an before you go.
For the museum collections in Ji'an, see Ji'an Goguryeo Cultural Heritage Exhibition Center.
For a separate route to Ji'an's Goguryeo heritage sites, see Goguryeo Heritage Sites (Ji'an).
Build your day
Give Wunvfeng its own day
One Jilin tourism itinerary gives Wunvfeng a full day, while another suggests walking the forest paths and One-Line Sky before continuing to Ji'an's historic sites. Treat the park as the main outdoor activity for the day. If you plan to add city sights, first check opening arrangements and transfer times.
Confirm open areas after you arrive
The park directory covers multiple scenic areas. After entering, ask which sights, shuttle stops and last services are operating, then choose one or two priorities. Follow staff directions during temporary closures or fire-prevention controls.
Get there
Navigate to the park, then check the final approach
An older Ji'an tourism page lists the address as National Highway 303, 21 kilometres from town. In 2026, the Ji'an municipal government said completion of G331 had improved access to the park. Follow current navigation and confirm that the final approach reaches an open visitor entrance.
Confirm parking and shuttle arrangements before driving
Recent reporting records visitors driving into the park. Temporary parking near the expressway and scenic-area shuttles were used during the May Day and National Day holidays; those were holiday services. On an ordinary day, call 0435-6688881 to confirm the open entrance, parking location and any shuttle service.
Know before you go
Check admission and hours for your date
The 65-yuan ticket price on a Ji'an scenic-area page dates from 2023. Confirm current prices, discounts, last entry and reservation arrangements before travelling. Extended ticket sales and opening hours in the May Day notice applied only to that holiday.
Follow fire rules and temporary traffic controls
During the 2026 National Day holiday, Ji'an carried out fire checks and forest patrols and arranged temporary parking and traffic control near the expressway. Follow the park's fire-prevention notices: do not smoke or use an open flame in the forest. Holiday controls are temporary; follow staff directions if traffic restrictions or a closure are in effect.
Match the route to your mobility needs
The park has hiking trails, valleys and many separate sights. Wear walking shoes and bring water. If you need a shorter route, step-free access or restroom information, ask the park which areas and shuttle services are available before you travel.
