Shiqian Ancient Hot Spring is near Shiqian County town, and the drive from downtown Tongren is long enough that an overnight stay is more comfortable. Travel during the day, soak in the evening, then visit Shiqian town or Loushang Ancient Village the next day.
Tip:If you only have one or two days in Tongren, do not make a special detour only for one hot-spring soak.

Shiqian has no direct high-speed rail. Public transport from downtown Tongren takes time. Once you reach Shiqian, the ancient hot spring is close to the county town and easy by taxi.
Tip:If transferring from Tongren South Railway Station or Tongren bus station, check bus times first instead of arriving and hoping for a good connection.
