Entry, tickets and opening hours
Chishan Scenic Area is on Fahua Road in the northern part of Shidao Administrative Area, Rongcheng. Navigate to “Shidao Chishan Scenic Area,” park at the foot of the mountain and walk to the entrance. The reference adult ticket is CNY 120, the reference concession ticket for older visitors and students is CNY 70, and children under 1.4 metres and visitors aged 70 or above are listed for policy-based free admission. Opening hours are listed as 07:30–17:30.
No reservation is required, and bus K02 goes directly to the attraction. From June 10 to August 31, recent high-school graduates can use their examination certificate for the listed free-admission arrangement; this applies only during that period and is not a year-round ticket rule.
How much time to allow
Allow about two hours for Fahua Temple, Jixiang Ping'an Valley and the Chishan Mingshen statue. A full route takes about 3–4 hours and can add the Zhang Baohao Biographical Museum and Rongcheng Folk Museum. The area has mountain paths and steps, so wear shoes with good grip; the uphill vehicle service is optional, and the main route can be completed on foot.

Fahua Temple and Chishan Mingshen
Fahua Temple is the main historical and cultural stop, with temple buildings, mountain paths and a traditional Buddhist setting. The Chishan Mingshen statue faces Shidao Bay, and its viewing platform works well as the sea-view section later in the route. Visitors interested in history, temples and coastal scenery should make these two stops their first priority.
Jixiang Ping'an Valley, Zhang Baohao Museum and Rongcheng Folk Museum
The musical fountain in Jixiang Ping'an Valley follows the day's show schedule, so arrive 10–15 minutes before the listed time. The Zhang Baohao Biographical Museum and Rongcheng Folk Museum suit visitors interested in maritime exchange, local customs and regional history, and fit naturally into a longer family route.

A two-hour short route
From the entrance, go first to Fahua Temple, then continue to Jixiang Ping'an Valley for the day's fountain show, and finish at the viewing platform below the Chishan Mingshen statue for views over Shidao Bay. If the fountain time changes, adjust the order of Fahua Temple and the viewing platform to match the posted show schedule.
A 3–4 hour full route
Follow the uphill route through the Zhang Baohao Biographical Museum, Rongcheng Folk Museum, Chishan Temple and Fahua Temple, then continue to Jixiang Ping'an Valley and finish at the Chishan Mingshen viewing platform. The uphill vehicle service is listed at a reference CNY 150 per vehicle; choose it according to your group and the day's service arrangement, while walking remains the main way to visit.

Bus and driving
Bus K02 goes directly to Chishan Scenic Area; driving from central Weihai or Rongcheng Station takes a reference 30–60 minutes. Navigate to “Shidao Chishan Scenic Area,” park at the foot of the mountain and walk to the entrance.
The mountain paths and steps begin between the entrance and the main attractions, so connect the parking area, ticket point and uphill route according to the on-site signs. The foot-of-mountain parking area and the Chishan Mingshen viewing platform are separate points; reaching the platform still requires walking inside the scenic area or using the available uphill service.

Fountain schedule and weather
The Jixiang Ping'an Valley fountain runs at specific times, so confirm the day's schedule before choosing the route. Rain, wind and other on-site conditions can affect the fountain and mountain paths, so leave room to adjust the order.
Steps, spending and temple etiquette
The area has many mountain paths and steps, making grippy shoes, water and sun protection useful. Temples such as Fahua Temple may have optional incense and prayer-cloth purchases; choose according to your preference. The uphill vehicle, food and other services are charged separately and are not included in the basic ticket.
