Location, entrance and tickets
Longwantan National Forest Park is in Jijia’ao Village, Hesheng Town, Yongjia County, Wenzhou. It is part of the Nanxi River area, and the usual entrance is the main visitor centre. A basic ticket costs about CNY 60–70. Packages, glass rafting and other high-altitude activities are charged separately; check which activities are included and any conditions for use.
Common ticket information includes a six-activity package at about CNY 88, a similar on-site package at about CNY 108, a larger package at about CNY 188 and separate glass rafting at about CNY 100. Prices and available activities may change, so the package name alone does not mean every facility is operating.
Opening hours and time needed
The park usually opens from 08:00 to 17:00, with last entry around 16:00. Activities may finish around 16:30. Allow about 2–3 hours for a flatter route and about 4–5 hours for a route that combines waterfalls with high-altitude activities. Uphill branches and queues add time.

Waterfalls and forest paths
The Seven-Fold Waterfall section follows a gorge with several pools and falls. Recent rainfall directly affects the water level. The left-hand water route and forest paths are better for a slower walk; after rain, the falls may be fuller but the surfaces are also more slippery.
Red Rock Lake, the Magic Forest and the riverside path suit a relaxed stop. Water activities, glass slides, glass rafting and high-altitude facilities have their own tickets and height, weather or operating restrictions. Do not assume that every activity is open at the same time.
Glass viewpoint and high-altitude activities
The U-shaped glass viewpoint, suspension challenge bridge, high-altitude bicycle and swing are suited to visitors comfortable with heights, queues and physical effort. Visitors who are afraid of heights, or families with young children, can stay with the forest and waterfall route and decide about activities on the day.
Build your day
A 2–3 hour flatter route
From the entrance, pass the Shouting Fountain, the light tunnel and Red Rock Lake. Continue along the gentler forest route to the Magic Forest and the Seven-Fold Waterfall, then return by the same route or choose an operating descent activity. This route suits visitors with older adults or children, or anyone who does not want a long climb.
You can make a short stop at Red Rock Lake, but water activities depend on the on-site arrangement. Do not add a long stair section at the last minute, especially when the weather is hot or someone in the group is already tired.
A 4–5 hour classic route
Visitors with enough stamina can start at the Seven-Fold Waterfall, continue to the U-shaped glass viewpoint and high-altitude activity area, then choose a cable car, glass slide or glass rafting descent if each is operating. Finish at Red Rock Lake and the exit. Queues and changing equipment take time, so complete the return before the last-entry and activity end times.
To reduce uphill walking, use the left-hand water route or a cable car when available. Some right-hand sections have many steps and steeper slopes. The package and park admission cover different things, so choose the ticket according to the activities you actually want.
Family route
Families can start with the Shouting Fountain, Red Rock Lake and the Magic Forest, then follow the riverside path to the Seven-Fold Waterfall. Choose a glass slide or return by the same route according to the child’s energy. Whether interactive activities such as feeding the ponies are available depends on the day’s arrangement.
A family route does not need every activity. Water, snacks, mosquito repellent and shoes with good grip are more useful than adding a high-altitude facility at the last minute. If a child becomes tired, return directly to the exit.
Get there
Driving
The drive from central Wenzhou takes about 1–1.5 hours. Navigate to the park’s car park, where parking costs about CNY 10 per visit. On holidays, the car park may fill up, so arrive early and allow time to walk to the visitor centre.
High-speed rail and public transport
From Nanxi River Station, a taxi takes about 40 minutes to the park. You can also rent a car from Wenzhou South Station. By public transport, take a bus from Oubei Bus Station to Hesheng Town, then a taxi for about 15 minutes. From Yantou Bus Station, check whether the government-operated minibus to the park is running; the fare is about CNY 8 per person.
Ride-hailing cars may respond slowly in remote areas, and return buses may be infrequent. If you are not driving, confirm how you will leave the park before entering.
Know before you go
Waterfalls, rain and surfaces
The flow at the Seven-Fold Waterfall depends on rainfall. The falls may be fuller after rain, but steps, bridges and stone paths become slippery. Wear shoes with good grip and avoid standing on unprotected stones. During heavy rain or lightning, follow the on-site instructions and stop outdoor activities.
Packages and operating facilities
The glass viewpoint, cable car, slides, rafting, boats and high-altitude activities may not all operate at the same time. Before buying a package, check its activity list, height limits and safety requirements. Prices may differ online and on site; do not buy a package only to obtain activities you will not use.
Supplies and energy
There are few supply points on the mountain, and prices may be higher than in town. Bring water and a small amount of food. Mosquitoes are common in the forest in summer, so bring repellent. If you plan to stay on the waterfall and flatter routes, you do not need equipment for the high-altitude activities.
