Board at Longzikou Wharf

Longzikou Wharf is on Yanjiang Avenue in Fancheng District, across from Mi Fu Memorial Temple, and is the usual boarding point for the Xinshenyun Han River Cruise. The cruise lasts about 60–70 minutes. A daytime product is roughly CNY 60 and an evening product roughly CNY 80; the exact product and price follow the booking page.

Schedules change by date

Cruises change with the season, weekday, weekend, and holiday calendar. Weekdays may focus on evening sailings, weekends may add daytime trips, and holidays are usually busier. Possible departure times include 15:00, 19:10, or 20:00, but use the departure shown for your travel date.

Daytime and evening views

Day cruises are better for the two banks of the Han River, the old-city outline, and riverside buildings. Evening cruises focus on the lights and city night views. Both products are built around a view from the water, while the exact bridges and route depend on that day's operation.

The open-air top deck

After boarding, you can leave belongings in the lower cabin before going up to the open-air top deck. The view is broad, but the river wind is stronger than on shore. Older adults and children should choose where to stand according to the wind, temperature, and crowd level.

A low-effort city experience

Most of the activity takes place at the wharf and on the boat, so the physical effort is low. The cruise suits families, couples, and visitors who want to see Xiangyang from the river. A host, commentary, or interactive activity may be offered depending on the sailing; it is not guaranteed on every trip.

Build your day

Online booking and window collection

Book through the cruise's official WeChat account or an online platform, then show the booking message at the Longzikou Wharf window to collect your ticket before security screening and boarding. On holidays, tickets may not be available at the wharf, so book first and fit Mi Fu Memorial Temple or the ancient city around the sailing.

Arrival and boarding order

Even outside holidays, arrive early enough to collect your ticket. During holidays, arrive at least 30–40 minutes early for parking, walking, and queues. After collecting the ticket, confirm the boarding gate and sailing, then go aboard and find a place on the deck; arriving at the wharf is not the same as being ready to board.

Connect it with Mi Fu Memorial Temple and the old city

Mi Fu Memorial Temple is across from the wharf, so you can fit in its 30-minute short route before the cruise. Xiangyang Ancient City and North Street work better as a walk or short transfer after disembarking. The temple, cruise, and ancient city sell tickets separately and have no fixed combined transfer.

Get there

Bus to Jiefang Bridge

Take bus routes 20, 24, 505, 517, G02, or G03 to Jiefang Bridge, then walk to Longzikou Wharf. For a taxi, enter “Longzikou Wharf” directly; this is more reliable than using only “Han River cruise” or “Mi Fu Memorial Temple.”

Parking

Roadside spaces near the wharf are limited, and holiday traffic can be heavy. Check the Yanjiang Avenue Parking Lot, Longshijia Southwest Parking Lot, or the ground parking lot at Xiangyang No. 1 High School, then walk to the wharf. Allow time for ticket collection and queuing after parking.

Know before you go

Weather and cancellations

Rain, snow, strong winds, or Han River flood discharge may cancel a sailing. Check the day's notice or call the wharf before leaving. Even with a daytime or evening booking, keep a weather-related cancellation as a live possibility and avoid tying the cruise to a tight route with non-refundable bookings.

Wind and photography

The top deck is good for photographing the lights on both banks, city towers, and bridges, but the wind is stronger than on shore, so bring an extra layer for an evening cruise. Stay in the safe areas and do not cross the railings. Do not release sky lanterns around the wharf or boat, because they create fire and navigation-safety risks.

Tickets and children

Children under 1.2 metres may travel free, while children 1.2–1.5 metres may qualify for half-price tickets; confirm the rules for your selected sailing. The cruise ticket covers this sailing only; tickets and opening hours for Mi Fu Memorial Temple, the ancient city, North Street, and other attractions are separate.
