Guanshan National Geological Park’s main route includes Red Stone Gorge, Xiaoyaoyuan, Tianzhu Peak, and White Dragon Falls. Tickets and walking pace
The reference adult ticket price is about CNY 60–90, and some ticket types may include the sightseeing shuttle. Reference opening hours are 08:00–17:30, with entry cut off at around 16:00. Ticket prices, shuttle services, and the entry cut-off time can change with the season and visitor numbers.

Red Stone Gorge
Red Stone Gorge combines red quartz-sandstone cliffs, pools, and waterfalls, making it Guanshan’s main geological landscape. Visitors who enjoy continuous walking through a canyon and observing changes in the rock walls and water scenery can make Red Stone Gorge the focus of their visit.
Xiaoyaoyuan and “One Meter of Sunshine”
Xiaoyaoyuan includes a narrow slot section where the tightest point requires visitors to turn sideways. If you want to see “One Meter of Sunshine,” try to reach Xiaoyaoyuan around 14:00–14:30. Whether sunlight reaches the bottom of the gorge depends on the season and weather, and the light effect also changes with the angle of the sun.
Tianzhu Peak and White Dragon Falls
Tianzhu Peak is a tall, pillar-shaped mountain, with views toward the Taihang peaks and sea of clouds from higher up. Actual visibility depends on the weather. White Dragon Falls is on the lower part of the mountain route, with a drop of about 80 meters, and can be combined with Red Stone Gorge on the same downhill route.

A 3–4-hour downhill route from higher ground
Walk from the visitor center to Monkey Hill, then take the sightseeing shuttle toward Tianzhu Peak. Continue downhill past Xiaoyaoyuan and Red Stone Gorge, then take the shuttle back near White Dragon Falls. This route suits visitors who want to reduce uphill walking and focus on the main sights.
A complete 5–6-hour hiking route
Visitors with good fitness can hike from the visitor center through Pangu Gallery, Monkey Hill, Red Stone Gorge, Xiaoyaoyuan, and Tianzhu Peak, then take the sightseeing shuttle downhill. The complete route involves a long stretch of continuous walking, and the time spent at each stop directly affects the pace of the return journey.
Time your stop at Xiaoyaoyuan
If you want to see “One Meter of Sunshine,” aim to reach the Xiaoyaoyuan area around 14:00–14:30. Cloudy weather, rain, fog, and seasonal changes can make the light effect less visible. Stay within the path area when taking photos or passing through, and follow the passage signs in narrow sections.
Get there
By car
Navigate to “Guanshan National Geological Park Visitor Center.” The reference parking fee is about CNY 10 per vehicle. Enter through the visitor center after parking, then follow the sightseeing-shuttle and walking routes.
By public transportation
From Xinxiang Railway Station or the bus station, take a bus to Huixian, then transfer to a minibus or Bus 15 toward Shangbali. Public transportation involves several transfers, so allow time to travel from the scenic area back to Huixian on the return journey.
Know before you go
Hiking preparation
The route between Red Stone Gorge, Xiaoyaoyuan, and Tianzhu Peak includes continuous mountain paths and stairs. Wear shoes suitable for long-distance walking. On the complete hiking route, the sightseeing shuttle only covers part of the return journey, so most of the main sections still require walking.
Time and weather
Opening times, entry cut-off times, shuttle operations, and route conditions are affected by the season, weather, and visitor numbers. After entering, note the shuttle times you need for the return. Rain and fog can affect distant views from Tianzhu Peak and the light effect at “One Meter of Sunshine.”
