Plan at a glance

Entrance, ticket, and hours

Lingxiao Rock is in Helang Town, Yangchun, inside the Lingxiao Rock Scenic Area. Use the south gate ticket office. The recorded adult price is CNY 45, with possible holiday offers at CNY 36; student and senior tickets follow the on-site ticket types. The cave visit and underground-river boat are separate services, and the boat requires an additional ticket.

The area usually opens 08:30–17:00, and arriving before 09:00 helps with light and crowds. Allow 1.5–2 hours for the basic cave route. Add more time if you take the underground-river boat or combine the visit with Chunwan Stone Forest or Yuxi Three Caves.

Cave route and underground river

The main cave hall, steps, and viewing platforms form the basic visit. The underground-river boat is an optional service with its own ticket, queue, and operating conditions. Buying entry to the cave does not mean that a boat ride is guaranteed or included.

Choose your visit

The large cave hall and formations

Lingxiao Hall is about 60 metres high and 100 metres wide, with large stalactite columns and a broad underground space. The Hundred-Step Stairway, Lingxiao Palace, and the viewpoint make up the land route. The cave suits geology enthusiasts, families, and visitors looking for a cool indoor stop in hot weather.

The cave is cool, and floors and steps can be wet. Photographers should use open platforms and follow the site’s instructions. Do not enter closed areas or stop in narrow passages to find a darker or closer angle.

The underground-river boat

The underground river is more than 400 metres long, and the boat ride takes about 10 minutes. Whether it runs, how long the queue is, and what safety rules apply depend on the day. Visitors who dislike boats, cold air, or waiting can stay with the cave halls and viewpoint route.

Build your day

A 1.5–2 hour cave route

Enter through the south gate, walk to the cave entrance, and follow the route through Lingxiao Hall, the Hundred-Step Stairway, Lingxiao Palace, and the viewpoint. Decide whether to take the boat only after checking your energy and the day’s arrangements. Wet steps and uneven ground require a slower pace with children or older adults.

If you skip the boat, leave from the viewpoint according to the signs. If you take it, confirm the ticket, waiting time, and return route first instead of using the whole closing period for the queue.

A Yangchun cave combination

Self-drive visitors can visit Lingxiao Rock in the morning, eat nearby, and continue to Chunwan Stone Forest or Yuxi Three Caves. Each attraction has its own ticket, entrance, and last-entry time. Check them separately before making a same-day combination.

Get there

High-speed rail and driving

A taxi from Yangchun Station to Lingxiao Rock usually takes about 50 minutes. Public transport requires several changes and is not a dependable main plan. Drive to “Lingxiao Rock Scenic Area South Gate” and follow the south-gate ticket and parking signs.

Parking and road access

There is parking near the south gate, with rules and charges shown on site. Leave time to walk from the car park to the entrance. Do not park on a bend, emergency access, or a space that is not part of the attraction’s designated parking.

Know before you go

Wet ground, cool air, and shoes

The cave stays around 18–22°C, and floors and steps can be slippery. Wear shoes with good grip and bring a light jacket. The cave is dark, so follow photography instructions and do not use an unsafe lighting setup or block a narrow passage.

If you pass a small religious site near the cave entrance, keep quiet and follow the proper entrance route. Do not accept unlicensed guides, extra charges, or unexplained escort services; ask attraction staff if you need information.

Supplies and combinations

There are farm restaurants near the entrance, while food inside the cave is limited. Bring water and a small snack. If you combine Lingxiao Rock with Chunwan Stone Forest, Yuxi Three Caves, or Dragon Palace Cave, calculate driving, parking, and last-entry times before leaving.
