Bo People Hanging Coffins are not a single exhibition hall. They are cliff-burial remains spread around Gongxian, Xingwen, and nearby areas. For the most concentrated and original hanging-coffin groups, prioritize Matangba and Sumawan in Gongxian.
Tip:Xingwen Stone Sea also has Bo culture and hanging-coffin elements, but there they are part of a larger scenic area.

Treat it as an outer-area cultural relic trip
Traveling from central Yibin to Gongxian hanging-coffin sites takes time. It is better with self-driving, a hired car, or as part of a Xingwen-area route.
Tip:If you only have half a day and no car, do not force this stop into the plan.

Expect distant viewing
The coffins sit on cliff faces, so the visit is mainly about viewing from below or across the valley. Look at the wooden supports, cliff wall, valley, and coffin positions together.
