How to Visit
1

Choose how to go uphill

Cuiping Mountain is a city-center hill park. You can walk up, or take the cableway up and walk down. If you want to save energy, cableway up and walking down is the easier plan.

Tip:The cableway is a separate paid item, commonly around CNY 15 one way. Same-day operation depends on on-site arrangements.
2

Connect the summit and mid-slope sights

Go first to Sanjiang Yilan Tower for views over Yibin and the river mouth, then continue to Nezha Palace, Qianfo Temple, and Zhao Yiman Memorial Hall.

Tip:Indoor halls, memorial sites, and temples may not share the same hours as the open park, so do not start too late in the afternoon.
3

Allow 2-3 hours

If you only want a short hill walk and view, the visit can be shorter. If you want the memorial hall, temples, and summit viewpoint, allow 2-3 hours.

Tip:Cuiping Mountain is inside the city, but stairs, hill paths, and route branches can make it take longer than expected.
4

Continue into the old city after descending

After coming down, you can continue to Daguan Pavilion, Hejiangmen, or the old-city food streets. This combines the hill walk and city night view well in one day.

Tip:If the same day already includes Southern Sichuan Bamboo Sea or Xingwen Stone Sea, do not overload the schedule with Cuiping Mountain.
Highlights
  • Sanjiang Yilan Tower is the most direct viewpoint for Yibin’s city area and river mouth.
  • Nezha Palace adds local myth and folk-culture interest, and the exterior is good for photos.
  • Zhao Yiman Memorial Hall is useful for understanding Yibin-related revolutionary history, but check closure days and hours.
  • Qianfo Temple and the hill paths are quieter and help slow down a city itinerary.
  • The cableway feels local and is useful for visitors who do not want to climb the whole way.
Insider Tips

Wear shoes with good grip, especially after rain.

In summer, bring water, sun protection, and mosquito repellent. Trees do not make the whole route cool.

If driving, do not rely only on parking right at the gate. Nearby spaces are limited, especially during holidays.

For night views, go up near dusk, but visit indoor halls during daytime.

With older travelers or children, do not try to combine cableway, memorial hall, temples, and a full walking route in one visit.
