Entrance, tickets and opening hours
Guanshi Pomegranate Garden — Qingtan Scenic Area is inside Guanshi Pomegranate Garden in Yicheng District, Zaozhuang. The main entrance is at No. 1 Taohua Road, marked by the “Guanshi Pomegranate Garden” archway. The reference adult ticket is CNY 60. Students can receive half-price admission, while local-resident and other concessions follow their applicable conditions.
Reference hours are 08:30–17:30; follow the day's public notice for any adjustment. No advance reservation is required; enter on site with an ID card. The park is large, and walking through the Qingtan Temple area alone may take more than two hours, so a sightseeing shuttle is useful for longer routes.
How much time to allow
A 2–3 hour route takes the sightseeing shuttle from the main entrance to the Qingtan Temple area, then visits the ancient trees, Qingtan Lake, Baoguo Pagoda and Yue Fei Yangyan Tower. A 4–5 hour route adds the Orchard within the Garden and Yiwang Pavilion, making a full day in the temple and pomegranate-garden areas.
The seasonal focus changes: May is for pomegranate blossoms, September–October for pomegranates, and autumn for the colours of the ancient Qingtan forest and the wider garden. These seasonal views need to be planned for their respective months.

Qingtan Temple, ancient trees and cultural sites
The Qingtan Temple area is the main visit zone. The ancient Qingtan forest, Qingtan Lake, Baoguo Pagoda and Yue Fei Yangyan Tower form a route from natural scenery to historic sites. The roots of the old trees, rocks and temple buildings fit into short walks after getting off the shuttle.
The Orchard within the Garden and Yiwang Pavilion are longer extensions. Yiwang Pavilion works as a high viewpoint over the pomegranate garden, while the inner orchard is best added when time and seasonal scenery suit the visit.
Who it suits
Nature and photography visitors can choose pomegranate blossoms, fruit or autumn Qingtan forest according to the month. History and culture visitors can focus on Qingtan Temple, Baoguo Pagoda and Yue Fei Yangyan Tower. Families can use the shuttle to reduce the long transfer and then walk shorter sections in the temple area.
The park is large, and food and souvenir purchases are easier outside the scenic area or on the return route. Choose pomegranate products according to price and how easily you can carry them rather than making shopping a required stop.
Build your day
2–3 hour Qingtan Temple route
Enter through the main gate at No. 1 Taohua Road and take the sightseeing shuttle to the Qingtan Temple area. Visit the ancient trees, Qingtan Lake, Baoguo Pagoda and Yue Fei Yangyan Tower, then take the shuttle back or follow the operating walking route to the exit.
This route suits visitors with limited time or those focusing on the temple, ancient trees and lake. May, September–October and autumn offer different priorities, so choose the stops according to your month of travel.
4–5 hour full route
Visit the Qingtan Temple area in the morning, including the ancient trees, Qingtan Lake, Baoguo Pagoda and Yue Fei Yangyan Tower. Eat outside the scenic area or nearby at midday, then continue to the Orchard within the Garden and Yiwang Pavilion before returning to the main entrance.
The inner orchard and Yiwang Pavilion add walking and possible shuttle waiting time. In high heat, rain or a crowded flowering season, keep the Qingtan Temple area and reduce the distant extensions.
Combining Yicheng and other Zaozhuang plans
Qingtan can be combined with other Yicheng sites or Xiantanshan Hot Spring Town, but each place has its own entrance and hours. It can also form part of a two-day southern Zaozhuang route with Railway Guerrillas Memorial Park and Taierzhuang Ancient Town; travel between districts needs to be calculated separately.
When combining Qingtan with other sites on the same day, complete the Qingtan Temple area during daylight. Nearby individual buildings and garden nodes follow the Qingtan Scenic Area route.
Get there
Driving and the entrance
Drivers can navigate to “Guanshi Pomegranate Garden” or “Qingtan Temple” and enter through the main gate at No. 1 Taohua Road. A large parking area is available; the reference fee is CNY 5–10 per day. After arrival, confirm the shuttle boarding point and return direction.
Public transport
From Zaozhuang Railway Station or Zaozhuang West Railway Station, take B1 or B2 toward Yicheng, then transfer to bus 261 or 262 and get off at “Qingtan Temple.” There are several transfers, so confirm the return service and the walking route from the stop to the entrance in advance.
Inside the park, use the sightseeing shuttle and walking paths. The Qingtan Temple area, the Orchard within the Garden and Yiwang Pavilion are far apart; visitors with large luggage should use the shuttle and avoid repeated backtracking.

Seasonal tickets and concessions
The reference adult ticket is CNY 60. Students can receive half-price admission, while local-resident and other concessions follow their applicable conditions. May is for pomegranate blossoms, September–October for pomegranates, and autumn for the colours of the ancient Qingtan forest and the garden. Other months still suit visits to Qingtan Temple, the lake and the ancient trees, but the flower and fruit views depend on their corresponding seasons.
Walking, shuttle and meals
Walking through the Qingtan Temple area may take more than two hours, and the Orchard within the Garden and Yiwang Pavilion add distance. Wear comfortable shoes and adjust the order to the day's shuttle service. Eating and buying pomegranate products outside the scenic area makes prices and carrying conditions easier to compare.
Nearby farm restaurants offer local dishes such as Zaozhuang spicy chicken and vegetable pancakes. If you are continuing to another Zaozhuang site, confirm the shuttle return and parking location before arranging the next transfer.
