Plan at a glance

Entrance, tickets and opening hours

Railway Guerrillas Film City is at the eastern end of Linshan Road in Xuecheng District, Zaozhuang, next to Railway Guerrillas Memorial Park. Enter through the South Gate. Usual hours are 08:30–17:30; during peak seasons or particular holidays, the site may extend to 18:00 or hold a night session. Check the site's notice for the day of your visit.

The Film City requires an admission ticket. The reference price is CNY 40–60 per person, with possible concessions for students and older visitors. Live performances usually require a time-slot reservation through the “Railway Guerrillas Scenic Area” mini-program after you buy the ticket. During holidays, on-site visitors may find no suitable ticket or show time.

How much time to allow

If live performances are the priority, plan half a day and confirm the show time before entering the streets. Without a performance, 2–3 hours is enough for Lincheng Railway Station, Yihe Coal Yard, Zhengtai Foreign Firm and the Republican-era street, but the site is compact and the visit will focus on performances and set experiences.

Choose your visit

Republican-era streets and railway sets

The Film City recreates Lincheng Railway Station, Yihe Coal Yard and Zhengtai Foreign Firm. It suits visitors interested in the Railway Guerrillas story, period streets and film-set spaces. The old station, signs, street scenes and coal-yard buildings can be visited before or after a performance.

Live productions such as “The Surrender at Shagou” (《沙沟受降》) and “Railway Storm” (《铁道风云》) are major parts of the visit. The site may also schedule the interactive production 《火车突袭》 or the project 《炭厂智斗》. Names, times and show slots follow the mini-program on the day. Some performances include explosions, fast movement and audience interaction, which may be unsuitable for young children or visitors sensitive to loud sound.

Who it suits

History and film fans can combine the performances with Lincheng Railway Station, Yihe Coal Yard and other sets. Visitors who enjoy role play can join costume, crowd or other interactive activities when those projects are scheduled. Families should check the sound level and duration before choosing a performance.

If no suitable show is available, the Film City still offers some streets and buildings, but the walking route is short. Choose it separately from the Memorial Park: the Film City focuses on live performances, while the Memorial Park focuses on historical displays and memorial spaces.

Build your day

Half-day, performance-first route

Enter through the South Gate, check the day's show times and meeting points, then watch “The Surrender at Shagou” or “Railway Storm” according to the schedule. After the performance, walk through Lincheng Railway Station, Yihe Coal Yard, Zhengtai Foreign Firm and the Republican-era street, keeping reserved activities at the front of the route.

Between show slots, you can explore the streets and take part in activities such as the grain-ticket exchange. If the interval is short, return to the assigned meeting area before continuing. The ticket, performance and activity inclusions follow the purchase page and on-site arrangements for the day.

Short route without a performance

If there is no suitable show, start with Lincheng Railway Station, Yihe Coal Yard, Zhengtai Foreign Firm and the main street, then decide whether to join any other scheduled activity. The site is compact, so a short visit usually does not require a full day.

This route suits visitors who have already seen the Memorial Park and want to add its film-set streets. The monument, museum displays and Linshan hiking route belong to the Memorial Park and are planned separately.

Combining the Memorial Park

The Memorial Park and Film City are next to each other. You can visit the free Memorial Park first and then go to the Film City's South Gate for an afternoon performance, or enter the Film City for a scheduled show before visiting the Memorial Park. The two sites have separate admission and reservation arrangements.

If you choose the Memorial Park's 2–3 hour Linshan route, check the Film City show time first. Leave enough time to move from the Memorial Park's East Gate area to the Film City's South Gate. Linshan Pavilion, the memorial monument and the museum are outside the Film City route.

Get there

From Zaozhuang Railway Station and Zaozhuang West Railway Station

From Zaozhuang Railway Station or Zaozhuang West Railway Station, take a bus or taxi to the eastern end of Linshan Road. A taxi ride is usually about 10–15 minutes. Bus options include the BRT B1 “Railway Guerrillas” stop and city routes 2, 3, 6 and 101; from the stop, walk toward the South Gate.

Driving and the entrance

Navigate to “Railway Guerrillas Film City Parking Lot” and enter through the Film City's South Gate. Because the Film City and Memorial Park are adjacent, confirm that your destination is the Film City South Gate or its parking area before leaving the car.

Know before you go

Tickets and performance reservations

The reference Film City ticket price is CNY 40–60 per person, with possible concessions for students and older visitors. Live performances usually require a separate time-slot reservation through the purchase page. During holidays, suitable on-site tickets or show times may be unavailable, so confirm the performance before arranging transport and meals.

Usual hours are 08:30–17:30, but peak seasons, holidays and night-session dates may change the schedule. Show names, time slots, ticket inclusions and possible Monday rest days follow the mini-program and the site's notice for your date.

Sound, walking and food

Some live productions include explosions, gunfire effects or fast action. Young children, older visitors and people sensitive to loud sound should choose a suitable position or skip those shows. Walking distances in the streets are short, but meeting, waiting and changing performance areas add time.

Food choices inside the Film City are limited. For a half-day route, bring drinking water and plan a full meal in Xuecheng District or the Zaozhuang urban area. If a performance ends late, decide on the return vehicle and exit direction in advance.
