How to Visit
1

Start at the visitor center and arrange the mountain transfer

Loushan Pass itself is free to enter, but the main sights are spread across the mountain area. Visitors usually enter through the visitor center and use the scenic shuttle, with CNY 50 as the main transfer reference.

Tip:The core points sit on the mountain, and using the visitor-center shuttle reduces uncertainty around parking, routing, and access.
2

Walk down from Xifeng Platform if you want an easier route

A smooth route is to take the shuttle up to Xifeng Platform first, see the high mountain view, then walk down toward Changkong Bridge, the battle site, the monument, cliff inscriptions, and the exhibition hall.

Tip:If you want to visit the Poetry Hall, ask about the stop before or during the shuttle ride, because some routes may return directly to the visitor center.
3

Allow 3-4 hours

A quick visit to the core points can be shorter, but if you want to walk the battle site slowly, photograph Changkong Bridge, and see the exhibition hall and Poetry Hall, a half-day plan works better.

Tip:Loushan Pass pairs well with the Site of the Zunyi Meeting as a revolutionary-history route. It is less convenient to squeeze into a rushed Chishui itinerary.
4

Choose clear weather for the high viewpoints

Xifeng Platform and Changkong Bridge depend heavily on visibility. Clear days or moments when mist lifts give a better sense of the mountain layers and pass terrain.

Tip:In rain or fog, stone steps and boardwalks become slippery and the views are reduced, so shorten the route if needed.
Highlights
  • Loushan Pass is the most mountain-focused stop on Zunyi's revolutionary-history route.
  • Xifeng Platform is the key viewpoint for seeing the pass terrain and surrounding mountains.
  • Changkong Bridge gives a direct sense of the height and mountain setting.
  • The battle site, monument, and cliff inscriptions connect the history to the actual landscape.
  • If you have already visited the Site of the Zunyi Meeting, Loushan Pass adds the battlefield-terrain layer.
Insider Tips

Include the shuttle cost in your budget, instead of planning only around the free entry.

Wear sports shoes; the route includes mountain paths and steps.

If you want to see the live performance Victory at Loushan Pass, check the same-day schedule and ticket price separately.

From Zunyi city, self-driving, taxi, or coach transport can work, but plan the return time before you go.

On wet days, avoid lingering too long on Changkong Bridge or steep sections just for photos.
