Focus on the Ertaipo self-driving route
Asilisi Grassland usually refers to the Ertaipo grassland area. The core experience is driving the one-way scenic loop, with highland slopes, cattle and sheep, and the wave road. The ticket is CNY 20, and the self-driving route costs CNY 100 per vehicle for cars with 7 seats or fewer. Use 08:30-18:00 for planning.
Tip:The self-driving fee usually includes the driver. Other passengers follow the normal ticket rule, so do not budget only for one person.

Self-driving, hiring a car, or renting a car works best
The fun of Ertaipo is on the road: stopping for grassland views and photos whenever it is safe. Without a car, the experience is weaker, and moving between scenic areas is difficult.
Tip:If you are not comfortable with mountain roads, hiring a car is safer than forcing yourself to drive.

Treat the wave road as an experience, not a racing spot
The wave road is the landmark section of the grassland, but it is still a scenic-area road. Drive slowly, wait your turn, and stop only where it is safe.
Tip:There are many curves and slopes. Slow down even more in fog, rain, or when cattle and sheep cross the road.

Do not confuse it with Jiucaiping
Jiucaiping is for flower fields and summit plank paths; Asilisi Grassland is for grassland driving and the Ertaipo loop. They are not the same entrance and not the same kind of visit.
Tip:Before navigation, check whether you are going to Ertaipo or Jiucaiping. Choosing the wrong one can cost half a day.
