How to Visit
1

First decide which section you are visiting

"Wujiang River Source Gallery" is often used for different entrances and river sections. The Zhijin side and the Qianxi Huawu side offer different experiences. The Zhijin side is quieter and easier to combine with Zhijin Cave, while the Huawu side is more popular for viewpoints and village-resort stays.

Tip:Do not just search for "Baili Gallery" and set off. Choosing the wrong navigation point can add about 1 hour of driving.
2

Treat it as a river-view and boat stop, not a closed scenic area

The gallery is mostly open riverbank and pier-based sightseeing. The main experience is seeing the canyon, river, bridges, and mountain walls. Budget CNY 60 for a short boat route; some on-site short routes may be CNY 50, while longer boat routes cost more.

Tip:Strong wind, heavy rain, or unsuitable water levels can affect boats. Do not make the boat the only highlight of your day.
3

Self-driving works better here

Public transport to the piers is not very smooth, so first-time visitors are better off self-driving or hiring a car. If you come from the Zhijin Cave direction, allow 1-2 hours for river views and a short boat ride.

Tip:The road down to the river has many bends and steep sections. New drivers should avoid driving it at night.
4

Sunny weather makes the visit much better

Wujiang River Source Gallery depends heavily on weather. On sunny days, the water color, mountain walls, and bridge layers look much better. In rain or fog, visibility and photos drop clearly.

Tip:In heavy fog or continuous rain, it is safer to give that time to indoor attractions such as Zhijin Cave.
Highlights
  • Wujiang canyon, green water, and high bridges form the main scenery.
  • It works well as a half-day add-on with Zhijin Cave and Zhijin Grand Canyon.
  • A boat ride gives closer views of the cliffs and the Yachi River Bridge area.
  • The open riverbank feels freer than a traditional scenic area, but services are less concentrated.
  • The Huawu side and Zhijin side are different enough to plan separately.
Insider Tips

Confirm the entrance before navigation, and do not mix up the Zhijin side and Huawu side.

Boat departures may require waiting for passengers or scheduled runs, so do not make the timing too tight.

It can be windy by the river, so bring a light jacket in spring and autumn.

Prepare for winding roads if you get carsick.

If you are only passing through for photos, 1 hour can work; if you want a boat ride, allow about 2 hours.
