Matryoshka-themed attraction on Huabu Avenue
Manzhouli Matryoshka Scenic Area (满洲里套娃景区) is at No. 23 Huabu Avenue in Manzhouli. Search for “满洲里套娃景区” (Manzhouli Matryoshka Scenic Area); it is about 10 km from the city center. Admission is separate from the National Gate Scenic Area. If visiting both on the same day, arrange transport and tickets separately; they are not one shared ticketed zone.
Check what is open that day
The area includes Matryoshka-themed buildings, a Russian folk-culture zone, an amusement area, a theater, and a dome cinema. Shows and rides vary by season. Online listings differ widely on opening hours, adult prices, and performances, so confirm that day’s entry window, show ticket, ride ticket, and last-entry time before setting out.

Choose your visit
See the Matryoshka buildings and Russian-style district
The central Matryoshka-themed building is the visual centerpiece, surrounded by colorful Russian-style buildings and Matryoshka decorations. Take time to look at the architectural details and take photos. During the day, see the façades and plaza displays; if the area is open that evening and lighting is scheduled, you can view the night scene during opening hours.
Russian folk-culture hall and dome cinema
The Russian folk-culture hall displays clothing and scenes of daily life; some activities may cost extra. The dome flight cinema uses wraparound images and moving seats to create a flight experience. Check the day’s activity boards and ticket details for availability and whether either is included in admission.
Plan around the circus schedule
The Russian Grand Circus Theater is one of the main performance venues and suits visitors who want to spend time on a stage show. Content, showtimes, and ticket types can change. If you want to see the circus, confirm the date and seats first, then plan the other areas to avoid waiting for a show that is not running.
Build your day
Matryoshka architecture visit, about 1–2 hours
From the main entrance, visit the central Matryoshka building and plaza first, then follow open main paths through the Russian-style buildings and return by the exit signs. If you only want photos of the buildings, choose a ticket for that plan rather than buying a bundle with activities you will not use. Before leaving, check the walking direction from the exit to the parking area.
Half-day with shows and rides, about 3–5 hours
Before entering, confirm the day’s Russian Grand Circus or other theater schedule. Fix the showtime first, then plan the Russian folk-culture hall, dome cinema, and amusement area around it. Allow time for queues, food, and the walk to the exit. If a show or ride is suspended, visit open areas instead and leave by closing time.
Get there
Bus 6 or taxi
Manzhouli government routes mention Bus 6 passing Matryoshka Square. Before boarding, check whether it stops near the attraction that day and when the last return bus runs. If there is no suitable service, take a taxi from the city center or arrange a car in advance. Bus and taxi waits can affect your entry time, so arrange the return before buying an evening show ticket.
Drive and park
Navigate to the entrance at No. 23 Huabu Avenue and follow parking signs. Parking location, fees, and the walking distance back to the entrance can change. In peak season, allow time for security checks, ticket purchase, and the walk from the lot.
Know before you go
Check tickets, performances, and hours separately
Adult tickets, children’s tickets, shows, cinema, and rides may be sold separately or bundled by date. Different pages list different opening and closing times. Check the scenic area’s notice for that day or call ticket services to confirm the ticket-sales cutoff, showtime, ride closures, and refund or change rules.
Do not assume night shows or off-season activities
Water-screen shows, parades, ice performances, and night lighting are not offered every day. In the off-season, there may be fewer rides and shows. Plan an evening visit only when that day’s notice confirms it is open and return transport is available; do not stay after closing or wait in an unattended area.
Food, stamina, and companions
The amusement area and food street have restaurants and vending machines when open; hours follow the park schedule. Bring water, and pack a light meal if you have dietary restrictions. Restrooms are near the visitor service center, South Gate, and east of the Russian-Mongolian Performance Theater; follow signs after entering. The park is large, so check the map and venue access with children, older adults, or anyone with limited mobility, and allow time for breaks.
