三江湿地自然保护区 (the Sanjiang Wetland Nature Reserve) is not a conventional scenic area that visitors can enter freely. 三江自然生态馆 (the Sanjiang Nature and Ecology Museum) is near downtown Fuyuan and has an indoor exhibition route. Plan them separately; they do not share an entrance, ticket, or opening schedule.

Sanjiang Nature and Ecology Museum
The panoramic aquarium tunnel on the first floor is a main highlight, with aquatic animals including sturgeon. The second floor has plant and animal specimens, while the third covers Hezhen fishing and hunting culture and wetland conservation. The exhibits focus on local waters and ecology, making this an indoor option for visitors interested in nature education and families with children.
Outdoor access to the reserve
三江湿地自然保护区 (the Sanjiang Wetland Nature Reserve) is not a regular scenic area with free public access. It has no clearly established public entrance or visitor route. Ordinary visitors should not drive around looking for the reserve or birdwatching sites. If you mainly want to learn about the wetlands, 三江自然生态馆 (the Sanjiang Nature and Ecology Museum) is the easier visit to plan.
Weather and who may enjoy it
The museum is an indoor option for rainy days or when outdoor conditions are unsuitable; allow about half a day. If you are interested in observing wetlands outdoors, wait until public access and the permitted area are confirmed before making a plan. A visit to the museum does not include access to the reserve.

Build your day
A three-to-four-hour museum route
Start with the panoramic aquarium tunnel on the first floor, then see the plant and animal specimens on the second floor, and finish with the Hezhen culture and wetland conservation exhibits on the third. Allow 3–4 hours for this route. If any galleries are temporarily closed, follow the route available on site.
Visiting the reserve
There is no confirmed public entrance or visitor route to 三江湿地自然保护区 (the Sanjiang Wetland Nature Reserve), so do not set out to find a route, birdwatching tower, or parking area on your own. If you plan to visit, first ask the reserve's management about public access, how to get there, and which areas are open; then stay on the designated route.
A half-day in Fuyuan
You can visit 三江自然生态馆 (the Sanjiang Nature and Ecology Museum) as a half-day indoor stop and return to downtown Fuyuan for a meal. If you also plan to visit 黑瞎子岛旅游区 (Heixiazi Island Tourist Area) or 东极广场 (East Pole Square) that day, allow for the separate drives and each site's entry arrangements. Keep the nature reserve and museum as separate visits.

Getting to the museum
A taxi or car from downtown Fuyuan takes about 20–30 minutes. Navigate to “三江自然生态馆 (Sanjiang Nature and Ecology Museum).” Public transport and parking arrangements at the museum are unclear; if you take a taxi, arrange your return ride in advance.
Transport to the reserve
三江湿地自然保护区 (the Sanjiang Wetland Nature Reserve) covers a large area, and “抓吉镇 (Zhuaji Town)” is too broad to use as a destination. Do not drive onto roads whose public access has not been confirmed or search for the core reserve area. If you plan to go, first ask the reserve's management which areas are open to visitors and how to reach them.

Wetland protection and food nearby
If the reserve confirms an outdoor area is open, stay on its designated route. Do not leave boardwalks, approach nests, play bird calls, feed wildlife, or use drones. Food options near the museum are limited. After returning to Fuyuan, you can eat at 东极鱼市 (East Pole Fish Market) or a city restaurant; choose cooked fish if you prefer to avoid raw fish.
