Plan at a glance
An open riverside park
Jiangbin Riverside Park is at No. 133 Taiping Road in Xi'an District, Mudanjiang. The main entrance is on Taiping Road, with another path leading to Jiangxin Island. The park is free and open all day, so riverside walks, time on the island and nighttime bridge lights can fit around the rhythm of city life.
The park is free; facilities are separate
The park itself has no admission fee, while boats and other facilities have their own operating hours. Boat fares have previously been listed at both CNY 20 and CNY 30. Before departure, confirm the day's departures, fare and whether water levels or weather may affect operation.

Choose your visit
The riverside path
In the afternoon, walk along the river for views of the Mudan River, the bridges and both riverbanks. The Eight Heroines memorial sculpture is also in the Jiangbin Park area; visitors who want more history can continue to the Eight Heroines Memorial Hall and Mudanjiang City Museum.
Jiangxin Island and sunset
Follow the path to the lawns, wooden houses and Jingxin Pavilion on Jiangxin Island, and watch the changing light on the river around sunset. Island areas are affected by water levels and weather. Stop at the warning line and do not approach a flooded bank for photos.
The morning market and night walks
Around 06:00, visit the Jiangbin Morning Market to see local life. At night, walk beside the river for the lights and Mudanjiang Bridge; if boats are operating that day, add an approximately 30-minute night ride. The market, lights and boat departures are time-specific experiences, so follow the day's arrangements.
Build your day
The 1–2-hour afternoon route
Enter through the main gate on Taiping Road and walk along the river, then continue to the lawns and pavilions on Jiangxin Island. Return to the river around sunset for the bridge view. If you also visit the Eight Heroines Memorial Hall and Mudanjiang City Museum, schedule a separate museum visit and follow both museums' opening hours that day.
The 30-minute short route
Walk from the main entrance to the boat pier or another open viewpoint, then return along the same path for a short stop with river air and city scenery. Confirm at the site whether the pier is operating, whether boarding is available and the fare. The park paths themselves are free.
A morning-market or evening plan
The morning-market route pairs naturally with a daytime visit to Jiangxin Island. For a night walk, stroll along the river after dinner and decide whether to board according to the boat departures. Snow Castle is beside Jiangxin Island and is a separate seasonal project; confirm its opening independently rather than treating it as a permanent park facility.
Get there
Buses, taxis and the entrance
City buses stop at Jiangbin Park. Set the navigation destination to Jiangbin Park or No. 133 Taiping Road; from Mudanjiang Station, use a city bus or short taxi ride. The park has no central ticket gate; use the main entrance and the Jiangxin Island path according to the access open that day.
Walking and parking
Movement inside the park is mainly on foot, with Jiangxin Island connected by a path. Around 06:00, the morning market brings heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and parking becomes difficult. Take a bus, taxi or bicycle when possible. During the rainy season or high water, do not enter a closed waterside area to shorten the route.
Know before you go
Water levels and Jiangxin Island safety
Water levels may rise during the rainy season or when upstream flood discharge occurs, and parts of Jiangxin Island may be flooded. If you see a warning line, closed path or change in the water, return immediately to the open route on shore. Do not climb over railings or stop to take photos on wet, slippery stones by the water.
Boat fares and weather
Boat fares have differed between CNY 20 and CNY 30. Confirm boat hours, night-ride departures and weather-related suspensions before departure. The park's all-day opening does not mean boats operate all day; work backwards from the boat schedule when planning sunset and night views.
Nearby walks and meals
Jingfu Street's Russian-style old street is about 10 minutes away by taxi and 1946 Cultural and Creative Park can be another urban stop. Food options nearby include barbecue, meat skewers and izakaya-style restaurants. Confirm which shops are open and the river conditions when you arrive, then arrange the return by bus or taxi after the meal.
