Visit length and route
Allow about one hour to visit the Flood Control Victory Memorial Tower and walk along the nearby riverbank. The roughly 3-kilometer route from Yingbin Bridge to Hulu Tou Embankment passes zodiac sculptures and river views and takes about 2–3 hours. This is a one-way walk; arrange a pickup at the other end or be prepared to retrace your steps.

Flood Control Victory Memorial Tower
The park’s landmark tower is about 25 meters high, and historic flood levels are marked on its base. It is a place to learn about flood control on the Nenjiang River. The area around the tower offers views of the river and city and makes a short stop before or after a walk.
From Yingbin Bridge to Hulu Tou Embankment
The roughly 3-kilometer riverside path is the park’s longer walking section. Start near Yingbin Bridge on the east and walk west toward Hulu Tou Embankment. Zodiac sculptures are scattered through green spaces on both sides; look around as you follow the path. This linear route suits visitors who want a riverside walk.
Boat trips and sunset
Boat trips offer views of both banks and the city skyline from the river. The reference fare is about CNY 30 per person; operation depends on the season and arrangements for the day. To photograph sunset, arrive by the river about 30–60 minutes before sunset that day.
Early morning is also a good time to photograph the water and willow trees; leave sunset photography for the area around the memorial tower and walk the full 3-kilometer path at another time.

Short visit: memorial tower and nearby riverbank
Enter from the riverside access point near the Flood Control Victory Memorial Tower. Visit the tower, walk along the nearby path for a while, then return to the same entrance. Allow about one hour. If you plan to take a boat, first confirm the day’s pier operations and return time.
Full visit: walk west from Yingbin Bridge
Enter near Yingbin Bridge and walk west along the river, passing the area with zodiac sculptures. Stop at the Flood Control Victory Memorial Tower, then continue to Hulu Tou Embankment. The route is about 3 kilometers and takes about 2–3 hours. From the west end, you can retrace your steps; the round trip is about 6 kilometers. Alternatively, arrange a vehicle pickup in advance. Confirm the exit and pickup point at the far end before setting out.
Sunset and the return after dark
For sunset, choose the shorter route around the tower and return to a familiar entrance before dark. Check nighttime access on site; lighting varies along the riverbanks. Plan your finish time and return transport around the entrance you use.
Get there
Bus and access points
City buses 2, 11, 14, 15 and 101 serve the area around the “Nenjiang Park” stop. From there, enter through a riverside access point. You can navigate to “Nenjiang Park” or “Yingbin Bridge”; for the full route, decide which end to start at and how you will leave from the other end.
Driving and parking
There are only a few street parking spaces by the park, and they can be hard to find on weekends and in the evening. Check whether a nearby shopping center allows public parking, then walk to the river. For the one-way walk from Yingbin Bridge to Hulu Tou Embankment, arrange a pickup at the end or walk back to the starting point for your car.
Know before you go
Sunset, walking and ice
The riverside route is long, so choose the roughly one-hour short route or the 2–3-hour full route to fit your schedule. In winter, do not step onto ice on the river or banks unless its safety has been confirmed, and keep away from unmaintained riverbank sections.
Boat trips, food and other waterside walks
Confirm the reference boat fare of about CNY 30 per person and operating hours at the pier. In summer, there may be a nearby night market or barbecue stalls; stall and restaurant hours vary. Xinhongji Seafood Dumpling House is a nearby option for a full meal, with dishes such as guobaorou and seafood dumplings; check that it is open before going. Laodong Lake and Longsha Park are separate city walks for lake and bridge views or garden and historic sites; they do not share Nenjiang Park’s walking route.
