Learn about the old Baoquanyong Distillery
A provincial heritage list identifies the Daquanyuan Baoquanyong Distillery as a Qing-era site. Jilin tourism information lists an old well, fermentation pits and a historic still stove. These remains relate to water collection, fermentation and distillation; use the exhibit labels to understand the equipment and processes. Access depends on the visitor areas marked open on site. An entry for the company in the Ministry of Commerce's China Time-honored Brand Digital Museum gives 2007 as the excavation year; the heritage list still classifies the distillery as a Qing-era site.
Look for wooden jiuhai storage vessels
Jilin tourism information lists 53 wooden jiuhai vessels and 20 underground concrete storage vats. A company entry in the China Time-honored Brand Digital Museum identifies the wood used for the jiuhai as Northeast China red pine. They are traditional liquor-storage vessels. Use the open exhibition areas and labels to learn about the vessels' materials and storage use. Staff can tell you whether both types of storage facility are visible to visitors that day. The collection also includes liquor vessels, paintings and calligraphy, and brewing tools; look for the connections between these objects and the brewing and storage process.
Separate the distillery's history from the technique's date
A provincial tourism itinerary traces the distillery's history to 1616. China's national intangible cultural heritage records date the creation of Daquanyuan's traditional liquor-brewing technique to 1884. The dates refer to different things: the distillery's history and the formation of the brewing technique.

Build your day
Allow about 30–40 minutes for a short visit
Use the day's visitor map and staff directions to choose among the open history displays, wooden jiuhai exhibition and other visitor areas. Allow about 30–40 minutes for a short visit; the scenic area has not published a fixed route or official visit time. Stay within areas designated for visitors. If you encounter a barrier or an active production area, follow staff directions and do not enter the workshop.
Add time if the heritage areas are open
If the old well, fermentation pits and still-stove area are open, follow the route set by staff, then visit the indoor displays if they are available. Allow about 1–1.5 hours for an in-depth visit; the scenic area has not published a fixed route or official visit time.

Know before you go
Confirm which visitor areas are open
The site includes an indoor museum, Qing-era distillery remains and active production areas. Visitors may enter only the areas staff designate. Do not enter production zones or touch the old well, fermentation pits or equipment.
Tastings are optional; drivers should not drink
A tasting is not required, and availability depends on the day's arrangements. Anyone driving should not drink. If a companion plans to taste the liquor, arrange a sober driver and return transport.
Ask about reservations and access services
Visitors using a wheelchair or stroller, or needing language assistance, can call ahead to ask about routes and services. International visitors and groups should also ask about ID and reservation requirements.
