Street area and entrances
Lishui Street is in Yantou Town, Yongjia County, Wenzhou. The usual entrances are the North Square entrance and the middle entrance. The district has no continuous enclosing wall, and lanes connect with residential areas. The riverside corridor, academy, theatre stage, shops and boat activities each have their own opening arrangements.
The daytime ticket costs about CNY 15 per person, and the daytime charging period is usually about 08:00-17:00. After 17:00, visitors can generally enter the open lanes and see the night scene, but the actual charging rules, indoor venues and commercial activities follow the day's on-site arrangements. Public roads in Lishui Street may be passable all day; that does not mean every indoor site operates all day.
Suggested time
Allow about one hour for a short route, about two hours for a first visit and about 1.5 hours for an evening visit. Lishui Street works well after Furong Ancient Village or as the final stop on a Nanxi River landscape route, but do not shorten the return journey from an earlier attraction just to wait for the lights.

The riverside corridor and Shuiting Academy
Lishui Riverside Corridor is about 300 metres long, with red lanterns, pavilions and a walkway along the water. It is useful for seeing the scale of the buildings by day and the lights and reflections in the evening. The courtyard, pond and Wenfeng Pagoda reflection at Shuiting Academy suit a short stop; indoor access depends on the day's arrangement.
Yongkun Theatre Stage, Jieguan Pavilion and Chengfeng Pavilion can be used as cultural and rest stops. Visitors who enjoy ancient-village photography, Jiangnan water-town streets and slow walks can arrive in the evening. Families with children can start with the corridor and pavilions, then decide whether to continue.
A lived-in street district
Lishui Street is still a residential area, and the space between lanes, waterside railings and shops can be limited. Confirm on site whether sachets, rice wine, snacks or boat activities are open and how they are charged. Do not make one shop or one experience a required stop.
Build your day
A one-hour short route
Enter from North Square, follow Lishui Riverside Corridor for the red lanterns and water views, then rest at Chengfeng Pavilion before returning by the same route. This suits visitors with limited time, those who only want the riverside scene or those waiting to continue to another attraction.
Parking and crowding may differ between North Square and the middle entrance. On holidays, confirm the parking position first, then choose the more practical entrance.
A two-hour complete route
For a first visit, start at North Square and pass Lishui Riverside Corridor, Jieguan Pavilion, Shuiting Academy, Yongkun Theatre Stage and South Square. Add a boat or hands-on activity only if it is open that day. Public lanes and indoor venues keep different hours, so visit anything that requires daytime access first.
If an indoor venue or shop is closed, you can still complete the route along the waterfront corridor, pavilions and lanes. Do not wait for one activity until you miss the vehicle for your return journey.
An evening visit
Enter at about 16:30, photograph the grey-brick buildings and rooflines in daylight, then look at the lit corridor and water around 17:00. Eat in Yantou Town or return to your accommodation after the evening visit; the exact lighting time and access conditions follow the day's on-site arrangements.
Cobblestones become more slippery after rain and the light is lower at night. Wear flat shoes with good grip and stay on the open route. Do not lean on or cross the railings beside the water.
Get there
Driving
Navigate to the South Square car park or the car park at the middle entrance. Parking may be free on ordinary days, but spaces are limited on holidays. If they are full, park in Yantou Town and walk into the district instead of repeatedly looking for a space in residential lanes.
High-speed rail and bus
A taxi from Nanxi River Station takes about 15-20 minutes to Lishui Street. You can also take a minibus to nearby townships from Yantou Town and get off at the Lishui Street intersection. After an evening visit, confirm the return services or arrange a transfer in advance.
Lishui Street is close to Furong Ancient Village, but the practical conditions for walking, cycling and driving change with crowds and weather. A half-day ancient-village route should reserve separate time for parking and ticket checks at each stop.
Know before you go
Daytime charging and evening access
The daytime charging period is usually about 08:00-17:00. After 17:00, the common arrangement is open lanes and the night scene, but this may change on the day. If you want to see Shuiting Academy, the theatre stage or other indoor or semi-indoor sites in daylight, buy the ticket and enter before their access period ends.
An open street does not mean every shop, exhibition room or boat activity is operating. If one activity matters to your itinerary, confirm it after arrival before deciding how long to stay.
Surfaces, lighting and crowds
Cobblestones are unsuitable for high heels and need extra care after rain or at night. On holidays, the riverside corridor and entrances become busier. Do not stop in the middle of a bridge, at a corner or in the centre of a narrow passage for photographs.
Food and parking
Snacks and food inside the district vary in supply and price, so Yantou Town is a practical place for a full meal. Drivers should arrange parking before entering and leave extra time to collect the car or make the return journey after an evening visit.
