Plan at a glance
Location, admission and reservation
Tengzhou Museum is at No. 1 Fuqian East Road in Tengzhou, inside the Longquan Square cultural area. Enter through the museum's main entrance. Admission is free, but you must reserve through the official channel three days in advance. Bring your ID card for admission; visitors without a reservation cannot walk in and enter by simply swiping an ID card.
The museum is open Tuesday–Sunday from 09:00–17:00, with last admission at 16:30, and closed on Mondays except public holidays. After making a reservation, plan transport around the reserved date and last admission time.
How much time to allow
Allow 1–1.5 hours for the first-floor Highlights Hall, the “Teng Marquis Ding” (《滕侯鼎》), “Human-Face Jade Ornament” (《人面纹玉饰》) and the “Brilliant Bronzes” exhibition. A 2–3 hour route adds “Dawn of Civilization,” “Three States and Five Cities,” “Brilliant Bronzes,” “Jade in Splendour” and any temporary hall open on the day.
Tengzhou Museum works best when you confirm the reservation first and then combine it with the other two museums in the same cultural area. Add temporary exhibitions according to what is open on your planned date.

Ancient Tengzhou history and bronze displays
“Brilliant Bronzes” is the main exhibition area. “Teng Marquis Ding,” “Human-Face Jade Ornament” and “Buqi Gui” are useful objects to look for. The inscription inside Teng Marquis Ding reads “Teng Marquis made this treasured ritual vessel”; the Human-Face Jade Ornament is associated with Dawenkou culture; the inscription on Buqi Gui concerns a Qin campaign against the Xirong.
“Dawn of Civilization,” “Three States and Five Cities” and “Jade in Splendour” add pottery, ancient Tengzhou history and jade objects. Add the temporary hall only when it is open on the day; temporary exhibitions are not fixed route points.
Who it suits
Visitors interested in bronze vessels, ancient Tengzhou and archaeology can allow 2–3 hours. Families can start with Teng Marquis Ding, the Human-Face Jade Ornament and the bronze exhibition, then choose one or two specialist sections for closer reading.
Visitors who want to see all three Tengzhou museums should reserve Tengzhou Museum first, then arrange Mozi Memorial Museum and Tengzhou Han Portrait Stone Museum around it. The three museums are close together, so the order can follow the reservation time and each museum's last admission.
Build your day
1–1.5 hour highlights route
Enter through the museum's main entrance and go to the first-floor Highlights Hall. See “Teng Marquis Ding” and “Human-Face Jade Ornament,” then continue to the “Brilliant Bronzes” exhibition before leaving.
This route suits visitors with a tight reservation window or another museum planned for the same day. Last admission is at 16:30; arrive within your reserved time and allow time for entrance checks.
2–3 hour full route
Follow “Dawn of Civilization,” “Three States and Five Cities,” “Brilliant Bronzes” and “Jade in Splendour” in order, then add the basement temporary hall if it is open. Teng Marquis Ding can be the focus in the historical or highlights section, while the bronze display wall and jade dragon are viewed in their corresponding galleries.
Temporary exhibitions, guided services and temporary halls change. When no suitable temporary exhibition is open, complete the permanent galleries instead.
Combining the other Longquan Square museums
Tengzhou Museum is within walking distance of Mozi Memorial Museum and Tengzhou Han Portrait Stone Museum. Reserve the museum first, then visit the other two according to the remaining time. All three are free, but one reservation record does not cover all three museums.

Know before you go
Reserve three days in advance
Tengzhou Museum is free, but you must reserve through the official channel three days in advance. Visitors without a reservation cannot enter by simply swiping an ID card on site. Make the reservation for your planned date and bring the required identification.
The museum is open Tuesday–Sunday from 09:00–17:00, with last admission at 16:30, and closed on Mondays except public holidays. Temporary exhibitions and guided services follow the day's arrangements; names and dates of specific shows are not treated as permanent route information.
Food and the three-museum route
Food choices inside the museum are limited. Eat around Longquan Square or in Tengzhou city; local options include vegetable pancakes (菜煎饼), spicy chicken (辣子鸡) and Tengzhou-style meat noodles (大肉面). Choose individual restaurants according to their location and opening status.
For a same-day three-museum visit, Tengzhou Museum's reservation time is the starting point. Mozi Memorial Museum and the Han Portrait Stone Museum can be arranged before or after it. Even though the museums are close together, allow time for each entrance check and last admission separately.
