Plan at a glance
A long waterfront route
Lovers' Road runs through Xiangzhou District from Gongbei Port in the south to Tangjiawan in the north, covering about 28 km of Zhuhai's main coastline. It is free, open all day and has multiple access points, but it is not a route most visitors should try to complete in one outing.
Shops, museums and performance venues along the road keep their own hours. For a first visit, choose one clear section rather than treating the whole road as a single attraction.
Where to start
The Love Post Office and City Balcony are the most practical starting areas. A first-time route can focus on the Love Post Office, Zhuhai Fisher Girl, Xianglu Bay Beach, City Balcony and the Yeli Island area.

A three-hour short route
Start at the Love Post Office and its white lighthouse, then walk or cycle to Zhuhai Fisher Girl. Continue to Xianglu Bay Beach and City Balcony, allowing time to stop rather than trying to cover more distance.
A longer coastal route
Begin at Zhuhai Museum, then walk or cycle towards Zhuhai Opera House, City Balcony, Xianglu Bay Beach and Zhuhai Fisher Girl. For a two-day plan, keep the southern landmarks and Jingshan Park for one day, then use Haitian Park and Yeli Island for another.
Build your day
From the museum to the opera house
Visit Zhuhai Museum in the morning, then follow the coast towards Zhuhai Opera House and Yeli Island. Continue through City Balcony and Xianglu Bay Beach before reaching Zhuhai Fisher Girl; keep the opera house for later in the day if you want the lights.
From the Love Post Office to Zhuhai Fisher Girl
Start at the Love Post Office and lighthouse, then move along Lovers' Road towards Zhuhai Fisher Girl. Xianglu Bay Beach and City Balcony are useful rest stops between the main photo locations.
Get there
Use buses and bikes for the core section
Take bus 9 or 99 to Zhuhai Fisher Girl stop, or use City Balcony stop to enter the waterfront walk. Lovers' Road has dedicated cycling lanes, making short bike rides practical between coastal landmarks.
The busiest sections can be congested on weekends and public holidays, and parking is limited or expensive. If driving, park near Haibin Park West Gate or around Jiuchang Building, then walk to the coast instead of moving the car between every stop.
Know before you go
Bike and walking limits
Shared bikes are not allowed on some parts of Yeli Island, so leave them in the designated area near the bridge before walking towards the opera house. Lovers' Road is long; choose a defined section and do not judge the walking effort from the map distance alone.
Sun, crowds and breaks
There is little shade along the waterfront, so avoid long walks or rides at midday without water and sun protection. The Love Post Office, Zhuhai Fisher Girl and Zhuhai Opera House become busy on weekends and public holidays; 8-9am and after 5pm are better for photos.
City Balcony is useful for lunch, coffee or an indoor break. Haiyun City is convenient after Zhuhai Opera House, while Xiawan Night Market can be the dinner stop at the end of a coastal evening.
