Kele Archaeological Site Park is in Kele Township, Hezhang County. Its core value is the Yelang cultural remains from the Warring States to Qin-Han period. It is not a lively scenic spot. It is better for seeing archaeological remains, burial culture, and museum-style displays.
Tip:If you mainly want scenery, Jiucaiping or Asilisi Grassland is more immediately rewarding.

Focus on the "helmet burial" and Yelang cultural clues
The most distinctive part of Kele is the "helmet burial" archaeological discovery, along with the historical context of Yelang culture and Han culture existing together. Focus on the site displays and object explanations.
Tip:This kind of site requires reading. If you rush through it, it may feel like there is not much to see.

Transport costs matter more than the ticket
Kele Township is still some distance from Hezhang County, and it is not close from Bijie or Guiyang. Self-driving or hiring a car works best; public transport requires multiple transfers.
Tip:Do not make a special round trip from Bijie city for a one-hour visit. It makes more sense with Hezhang, Jiucaiping, and Asilisi Grassland.
