Wetland entrance and visit time
富锦国家湿地公园 (Fujin National Wetland Park) is in Jinshan Town, Fujin, with the east gate (东门) as its main entrance. It is open 07:00–17:30. An adult ticket is listed at CNY 25; tickets for children and adults aged 60–65 are listed at CNY 15, and visitors over 65 enter free. Confirm any discounts at the ticket office on the day.

The main area has a 2.4 km circular boardwalk over the water. You can take an electric cart from the entrance to the boardwalk; a return ride is listed at CNY 10. Allow about 1.5–2 hours for a short visit, or 3–4 hours for the full route and a stop at the birdwatching tower.

Birdwatching tower and wetland views
The six-story birdwatching tower looks over reeds, waterways, and the wetland. A free viewing telescope is available in the park, but check whether it is working. Access to the tower and operation of its rotating feature depend on the day's facility status. Morning light is softer for viewing and photographing the wetlands.
Circular boardwalk, lotus pond, and Swan Lake
The boardwalk crosses reeds and water and is the park's main walking route. The lotus pond has seasonal blooms, usually from June to August. The Swan Lake area is a place to look for waterbirds. White-naped cranes, red-crowned cranes, and Eurasian spoonbills use the wetland, but sightings depend on the season and conditions that day.
Ways to visit
The birdwatching tower and boardwalk route suits visitors interested in nature photography or introducing children to wetland ecology. The grounds are open and facilities are spread out, so choose a short or full route that fits your walking ability. Do not plan the visit around seeing a particular bird.
For a museum and riverside stele-forest visit, see Fujin Museum and Songhua River Stele Forest.
For a seasonal rice-field viewing route, see Fujin Rice Field Park.
Build your day
A 1.5-to-two-hour short route
Buy a ticket at the east gate and take the electric cart to the main boardwalk area. Walk along the open loop, pass the lotus pond, and climb the birdwatching tower. Return to the entrance according to the cart service. If the cart is not running, you will need to walk between the entrance and boardwalk; check the day's shuttle arrangement before choosing your route.
A three-to-four-hour full route
Arrive early and start with the birdwatching tower for a view over the wetland. Then walk the 2.4 km circular boardwalk, passing the lotus pond and Swan Lake area. Rest at an open pavilion or on the grass. If the full loop is too strenuous, walk to the nearest viewpoint and return the same way. Food and drink are scarce, so bring your own water and a simple meal. Leave through the east gate.
Birdwatching and photography
Photograph the reeds and water in the softer morning or afternoon light. Lotus flowers are usually in season from June to August. For birdwatching, stay on open boardwalks and at the tower. Do not chase birds or enter the reeds if you do not see migratory birds.
Get there
Driving, hired car, and bus
Drive or hire a car from downtown Fujin or Jiamusi and navigate to the east gate (东门) of “富锦国家湿地公园 (Fujin National Wetland Park).” The park is some distance from town, and bus services are infrequent. Arrange your vehicle and return trip before setting out rather than relying on a bus both ways.
Parking and the entrance shuttle
There is free parking at the entrance. Buy your ticket at the east gate, then use the electric cart to travel to and from the main boardwalk if it is operating. The listed fare is about CNY 10; follow on-site notices if service is suspended or changed.
Know before you go
Mosquitoes, sun, and supplies
There is little shade in the wetland. Use sun protection on clear days. Mosquitoes are common in summer, so wear light-colored long sleeves and trousers and bring insect repellent. There are almost no places to buy food or water in the park; bring enough water and simple food. The boardwalk is long, so wear comfortable walking shoes. After the visit, return to Fujin for local dishes such as fish hot pot or chicken stewed with mushrooms. Finish evening photography before closing and allow time for the return trip.
Protecting the wetland and birds
Stay on open boardwalks and at designated birdwatching facilities. Do not approach nests, feed birds, play bird calls, or use drones. Fish and bird sightings are seasonal. Do not leave the route to look for photographs or enter the wetland water.
