Plan at a glance
Village culture and a countryside walk
Xinghuo Korean Folk Park is in Xinghuo Village, Huachuan County, about a half-hour drive from central Jiamusi. Follow the main road past the entrance gate, windmill corridor, murals, and rice-field viewing road; allow about 1–2 hours. If a public event is taking place and you plan to eat there, allow 3–4 hours.
Free grounds and separately charged activities
The folk park is free, open all day, and does not require a reservation. The observation tower, water slide, costume rental, and performances may require separate fees or operate only when scheduled. Paid activities have previously been listed around 09:00–20:00, but this is not a uniform opening time for the whole village or every venue. Check the day's activity list and prices before you go.

Choose your visit
Entrance gate, murals, and architectural displays
Enter through the main gate and follow the main road to see public displays, including murals on Korean ethnic themes and buildings with sloped roofs. The road may pass near residents' everyday spaces, so stay on public paths and within display areas; do not enter courtyards or homes.
Windmill corridor and rice-field viewing road
The windmill corridor, murals, and rice-field road are good for a walk and photos. Rice-field scenery changes with planting, ripening, and harvest. The fields often look more golden in September and October, but the viewing window varies each year. View rice-field art from designated viewpoints; do not step into the fields for a photo.
Public folk activities and paid experiences
If the day's notices list a public dance performance or rice-cake making activity, you can join during its stated hours. If nothing is scheduled, you can still visit the public roads in the village. The observation tower, water slide, and costume rental require separate price checks and tickets; do not assume they are included with free entry.
For two public green spaces in central Jiansanjiang, see Jiansanjiang Botanical Garden.
For another countryside route with a viewing tower, see Fujin Rice Field Park.
Build your day
A 1–2-hour walking route
Start at the main entrance gate, follow the public main road past the windmill corridor and open murals, then stop for photos along the rice-field viewing road before returning to the entrance. If you pass residents' yards, farmland fences, or temporarily closed areas, stay on public roads and do not enter private spaces.
A 3–4-hour culture and meal visit
Walk the short route first, then check whether a public activity is taking place at 民俗广场 (the folk plaza). If a performance or craft activity is open, join at the time shown on the day's notice. Have a meal in the village; if the observation tower or costume rental is operating and interests you, pay for it separately. Plan around a confirmed bus or vehicle departure rather than waiting for an unconfirmed performance.
Autumn rice-field views
If visiting in September or October, plan to see the rice-field viewing road when the light is good. The condition of the rice-field art, crop color, and harvest progress vary each year. In summer, you can see the growing fields; at other times of year, focus on the village roads, architectural displays, and any public activities.
Get there
By car or taxi
Navigate to “星火朝鲜族民俗园 (Xinghuo Korean Folk Park)” or “星火村 (Xinghuo Village).” The village is about 14–19 km east of central Jiamusi, around a 30-minute drive, and the park has free parking. If driving from Huachuan County (桦川县), confirm your route and road conditions before setting out, then follow navigation and local directions.
Coach to Huachuan and return arrangements
From Jiamusi, take a coach bound for 桦川县 (Huachuan County) and tell the driver you want to get off at 星火村 (Xinghuo Village). On arrival, ask the driver or local staff where to catch the return bus and when its last departure is. Arrange a taxi if the bus schedule does not work for you; do not assume one will be available by the roadside.
Know before you go
Respect the community and farmland
Xinghuo is a residential village of the Korean ethnic group. Respect residents' daily lives and ask permission before photographing residents, craftspeople, or their private spaces. Do not follow people around or enter courtyards. View farmland only from open viewing roads; do not step on crops or pick them.
Activities, rentals, and food
Performances, hands-on activities, the water slide, and observation tower vary with the date, weather, and operating arrangements. Costume rental has previously been listed at about CNY 30 per hour; ask whether headwear, makeup, or other items cost extra. Village eateries may serve cold noodles, rice cakes, kimchi, and stone-pot rice. If no restaurant is open, bring some water and snacks, and return using transport you have confirmed.
