The national gate and visitor boundaries
Suifenhe National Gate Scenic Area is on Usuli Street at the G10 Suiman Expressway's zero-kilometre starting point. It has one entrance. The park presents three generations of national gate facilities, boundary markers and port scenery. Areas beyond the designated visitor zone are controlled border areas and are off-limits to tourists.
Tickets and opening hours
Adult admission is CNY 50. Students and visitors aged 60–65 pay half price, CNY 25; visitors aged over 65 and other eligible groups enter free with valid documents. No reservation is required. Summer hours are 08:00–17:00, with last entry at 16:30; winter hours are 08:00–16:00, with last entry at 15:30. Allow at least one hour.

Three generations of the national gate
The first, second and third generations show how the port facilities changed over time. View their exteriors and descriptions in sequence. The third-generation gate is the main building, and the entrance avenue is good for a frontal panorama. Stay on the visitor paths during the visit.
Observation deck, glass walkway and boundary markers
The observation deck on the sixth floor of the third-generation gate overlooks the road port and the distant border landscape. The glass walkway on the fifth floor offers another elevated experience. An underground passage connects the new and old boundary-marker displays; New Boundary Marker No. 415 and the replica of the original marker are key stops for understanding the border history.
Who this border visit suits
Visitors interested in port architecture, the history of the China–Russia border and architectural photography can fit the visit into half a day. The legal visitor scope consists of the buildings, displays and distant views open to tourists. Do not approach, cross or casually photograph the controlled boundary near the national gate.

Build your day
The approximately 1-hour fast route
After entering, go directly to the third-generation national gate and take the lift to the sixth-floor observation deck. Then use the underground passage to the new and old boundary-marker display area. After leaving the passage, see the G10 zero-kilometre marker and the Daguo Jiaoyin (大国脚印) installation, then exit. With limited time, skip the glass walkway.
The 1.5–2-hour complete route
Start with the first- and second-generation national gates, then enter the third-generation gate and go to the sixth-floor observation deck. If open that day, use the fifth-floor glass walkway. Continue through the underground passage to Boundary Marker No. 415 and its replica, then finish at smaller displays such as the passport display point before exiting.
Time on site and exit order
The national gates, observation deck and boundary-marker area involve stairs, lifts and passageways. Allow at least one hour, and add 30–60 minutes for the complete route. Near the afternoon last-entry time, do not begin the full route without first confirming the last reception time for the lift, glass walkway and individual areas.
Get there
From Suifenhe Station into the city
After arriving at Suifenhe Station or Suifenhe Dongning Airport, go into the city and take a taxi to the national gate. A one-way city taxi fare of about CNY 10–20 is a reference. Bus Route 104 runs infrequently and waits may exceed 30 minutes, so it is not suitable as the only transport when you are trying to make a timed entry.
Self-driving and movement inside
Drive along the G10 Suiman Expressway and leave at the Suifenhe exit. There is a free car park at the scenic-area entrance. Inside, movement is mainly on foot, by lift and through the underground passage. Use the open routes between the upper floors, glass walkway and boundary-marker area, and do not enter closed areas.
Know before you go
Last entry
Last entry is 16:30 in summer and 15:30 in winter, after which the scenic area begins clearing visitors for closing. Tickets and operating hours may also change. In winter, plan transport backwards from the 16:00 closing time; the summer 17:00 schedule does not apply year-round.
Border-visit etiquette and safety
View the national gate and boundary markers only from visitor paths and designated viewpoints. Do not cross barriers, approach controlled facilities or search for unauthorised photo positions facing the border. Keep photography within the open points and follow staff arrangements for the lift, glass walkway and boundary-marker area.
Return transport and city walks
Ride-hailing can be difficult at remote attractions. Return taxis commonly charge a flat fare of about CNY 15–20, so ask on arrival about waiting and the price back to the city. In the city, Ren Tou Lou, the Railway Memory Museum and the White Building can be combined into an urban walking route. Russian restaurants and bakeries are food options.
